A week today we say 'Adieu' to Sheri & Steve who are heading to the U.K. via Thailand (& heaps of other places,) for the next 2 years :( (There are lots of :( in this blog?) Its something Sheri has talked about doing since her early teens. I am glad she has a travelling companion...good on ya Steve!! They stayed on Friday night & Sheri made Donna Hay's yum baked fish, salad & wedges for dinner. She is a very good cook. Good cooks run in our family!! We are very blessed!!
Auckland experienced a 'weather bomb' on Thursday, similar to one we had last June? The rain was awesome though & all the fields & surrounding hills have greened up overnight! The cattle & sheep are loving all the new growth. Our 2 'boys' are starting to fatten up again. They lost a bit of weight over summer with such little growth.
It was wierd going into work on Thursday & not seeing B&L there :( but the new manager, a Swiss guy, is lovely & I am sure will settle in well over time.
I am going to have a 'nana-nap'. Thats what I like to do on Sundays if we don't have company...and today we don't!!! RB is out with Pup putting netting around the flame tree as 'the boys' are proceeding to eat the bark off it :{

i had a nana-nap today too, after my 5am start. thanks for calling, its so nice chatting, tell dad sorry i didn't get a chance to chat - the girls were tired and had to get them off to bed, before the start of another busy week. will try and chat with him thru the week.
