Last day of spring?

Tomorrow is supposed to be the first day of summer but if you could see today's weather... who would believe it? Spring was full of every season...quite bizarre. Lisa & Blair dropped Velo in for us to mind for a few days while they go down to the Hawkes Bay for cycling. She is sitting on the office chair behind me, watching the sparrows & 'yellowheads' (little sparrow-like birds that have yellow heads. As I am not sure of their proper name I will call them that for now.) Not sure what Taz's reaction will be to her visiting? He usually isn't that thrilled? Its all about him...ha! Raelene, Tom & boys will be on their big adventure, via car ferry on Bass Strait, to visit Tom's brother & family. As I type this, Liz & Sandy are also on the Cook Strait car ferry. I am hoping the weather has improved considerably to what they predicted for Wellington this morning. They should be back with us by Monday dinnertime, all going well. Time to do some baking. Am a bit late today but was out this morning taking the Telstar for a warrent. Time for pup to go outside (in between showers) so better do that first. The lone kingfisher is keeping an eye on me from the fence post. Hope it finds a mate soon as its original mate died after flying into one of our windows? Such a waste of a beautiful creature. Also the mother turkey's brood has gone from 10 to 5 chicks. Life sure is tough out there?
