Windy Wednesday

Another week racing away?? Went for a walk around Orere Pt with (relieving teacher) Trish. It always brings back lots of memories of years spent holidaying in our bach. Ross concreted the front entrance yesterday & luckily nothing walked on it overnight..ie...rabbits, turkeys, pukekos OR the stray cat we have seen a couple of times?
I am going to Mum's friend, Loma's funeral tomorrow in Whangamata with Grant, just for the day. Had planned to stay a night or two but with Ross working hard outside everyday, don't want to leave him to have to worry about meals etc. Its good I can get a ride with Grant & have company!! Hopefully the weather stays fine, like it has all week.
Pork Roast for dinner tonight. I always do Donna's recipe - quick & hot - & it comes out delicious every time!! The farmer moved the baby calf & its mum & a few others into the other paddock this morning. Will miss seeing the calf 'bouncing' around outside our bedroom window each morning? I think there is another newborn calf in that paddock so they will each have a playmate. Time to get the washing in. It doesn't take long to dry here thats for sure!!
